Supervisory team: Dr David Tolin and Dr Gretchen Diefenbach.

Position: Postdoctoral Fellow.

Current research: I am interested in how we can improve our understanding and treatments for suicidal thoughts and behaviours through working alongside our most vulnerable and under-served populations, particularly young people. I am currently completing my post-doctoral fellowship funded by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on a randomised controlled trial of a suicide prevention treatment.

Research interests:

  • Youth participation, particularly in treatment/workforce/service development and improvement
  • How young people understand and communicate about suicide and high-risk mental health challenges
  • Treatment development and dissemination including novel and digital interventions
  • Comorbidities

Can help with: I love to collaborate and work through ideas with people at all stages in their career. My favourite subjects are advocacy, promoting lived experience voices, and qualitative/mixed methods research.

What’s essential to your well-being? Down-time to focus on connecting with the people I love and my hobbies! I love expressing my creative side through writing, theatre, and cooking. My favourite way to spend a weekend is hiking with my partner, Jack, and enjoying a home-cooked meal together.
