Position: PhD student.

Current research: I am interested in suicide bereavement, the individual experience for mental health practitioners who have had patients die by suicide or had them commit homicide. My PhD is on the experience of mental health practitioners who attend coroner’s inquest after an unexpected death or suicide and what can be done to improve that process for them. I am funded by the Colt Foundation.

  • Suicide as one experience of vicarious trauma and occupational PTSD
  • Experiences of coroner’s inquests for mental health practitioners involved in patient care
  • Support for practitioners after a patient suicide – risk and protective factors
  • Support for practitioners – interventions
