Current research: My PhD research is exploring the needs of caregivers of a person who has attempted suicide. What are these needs and how can they best be met. This will include piloting (RCT) of a new online intervention we are building.

Research interests:

  • Carers
  • Suicide Prevention
  • Older Adults
  • Workplace suicide prevention

Can help with: I have a broad professional experience including mining, health and safety and workplace based mental health and suicide prevention initiatives. Happy to provide advice where I can.

What’s essential to your well-being? When not plugging away at my PhD, you can find me in my tiny garden, affectionately known as Jardin Rue Fern (@jardinruefern on Insta). I love to cook, eat and drink red wine. To balance out the eating, I suck at Ironman triathlons and trail running. I adore reading books but suffer badly from Tsundoku.
